8:11am - Pete and I are betting how many McDonalds we'll see in Iowa. I say 20. He says 30. We're not actually in Iowa yet. But it's good to be ready.
8:15am - Truck full of piglets!!
9:11am - crossing the Mississippi. It looks big and full, but not flooding up here.
9:12am - I am terrible at taking pictures of the welcome signs.
9:44am As awesome as promised:
12:47pm - monsoon in Des Moines so we can't see it but assume it's there nonetheless. Ladders on the road, lots of lightening. Also pete thinks I should acknowledge my inability to differentiate between it's and its. Sorry about that.
1:58pm - In honor of our approach to Nebraska I am singing all of the songs from Oklahoma to Pete. Since we're not going there, but this is sort of close. He's thrilled.
Be interesting to hear about the appearance of flooding, as you are crossing our two great rivers, today.
ReplyDeletePiglets can vote, in Illinois, btw
For the purposes of your sign count, do god signs in Utah count the same as they do on earth? If not, are they of more or less value?
ReplyDeleteOMG I want more truck stop photos! Love this adventure!
ReplyDeleteI hope you guys picked up some cool chrome accessories for the Prius at the truckstop.
ReplyDeleteI remember "it is=it's" by thinking that the dot from the i got left behind when you abbreviated it, and turned into an apostrophe. If it's not "it is", then no apostrophe. xox
ReplyDeleteoh the farmer and the cowman should be friends..!
ReplyDeleteToo bad you didn't remember The Music Man in time for Iowa
